“Dried Water” consists of curved paper panels, that guide us into the interior of the soloexhibition “Sentimental Organs”. A blue structure covers the paper. It traces the flow of paint in water, where it has liquefied or condensed. Tinted windows muffle the outside world and push it into the distance. Over the rounded edge of the paper we are transported into a bizarre landscape: we see columnar formations and floral sculptures, made of clay. At the edge, a ladder leads to a shelf, which is clamped with construction supports just below the ceiling. An amplifier, oscillators, a synthesiser can be seen on it. The performance transforms the Sentimental Organs into a living organism. With wind and sound, Anzi sets the objects in motion and makes them resonate. Air plays the flute; oscillators vibrate the membranes of speakers; ultrasound transforms the water captured in the flower into vapor that flows out and moistens the landscape. Photo © Simone Haug
