ABOUT BASTIAN GALLERY

BASTIAN gallery is renowned globally for its exceptional solo exhibitions and curated group shows featuring modern, post-war, and contemporary works of art. The exhibition program primarily focuses on 20th Century artists such as Emil Nolde and Pablo Picasso, alongside post-war German and American artists like Cy Twombly, Robert Rauschenberg, Anselm Kiefer, Andy Warhol, and Joseph Beuys.

Moreover, BASTIAN represents some of the most prominent international contemporary artists, including Ulrich Erben, Wim Wenders, Emma Stibbon, and Anselm Kiefer, in Germany.

The gallery publishes various exhibition catalogues, artist monographs, and catalogues raisonnés, which are available for purchase at the gallery's shop. Additionally, BASTIAN hosts exhibitions and showrooms on its online viewing rooms.

BASTIAN participates in various prestigious international art fairs like Frieze Masters, MASTERPIECE London, and Art Cologne. Founded by Céline and Heiner Bastian in 1989, the gallery is currently led by Aeneas Bastian since 2016.

BERLIN

From 2007 to 2019, BASTIAN showcased modern and contemporary art exhibitions in a gallery building facing Museum Island. In early 2019, the Bastian family gifted their building "Am Kupfergraben" to the State Museums of Berlin, who established an art education center there. In November 2021, the gallery relocated to a new location in Berlin Dahlem, which is a gallery building designed by John Pawson.

LONDON

The London gallery operated as a public exhibition space in Mayfair from 2019 until 2022. In October 2022, BASTIAN moved to Soho, where it now has an office and private showroom on Berwick Street, open by appointment. The gallery has presented solo exhibitions of notable artists such as Andy Warhol, Cy Twombly, Joseph Beuys, Pablo Picasso, and Sonia Delaunay.
