In this particular image, Pecos Bill seems to be in a transitory emotional state between his steed Widowmaker and his girl Slue-Foot Sue, thus … understandable that he’s looking this way. He has probably been reading too much Hegel, which, as Karl Popper says, is exactly what you should read if you want to cripple your ability for independent thought. Instead of the ridiculously meaningless “thesis-antithesis-synthesis” Hegelian crapola, Bill should have read MY “Genealogy of the Physiological Ritualistic Impetus of Consciousness, Metaphysical Astucity and Being” where I divide the Material/Metaphysical/Cultural development of Mankind and his relationship to the Universe into three sections of three States/Functions ; 1.) Oneness – Singularity – Static … 2.) Multitude – Divisionism – Motion … and 3.) Evolution – Revolution – Elliptical Rotation. … But then again … if Bill had done so, this drawing would look completely different, … so once again we see here the relationship between the physical condition that has been induced by a certain state of consciousness (the metaphysical effect on material), which then again, has an altering effect on the perspective of the viewer (object to subject relationship), so that what one feels is inevitably related to the manifestation of what others see. Yeah. Sure thing.
