fold; Simulationisms – Prototype for a woven design

Media: Weaving

Jacquard weaving based on Sophie Taeuber’s design for the ‘5 o’clock Tea Room’ of the Aubette 1928 in Strasbourg.

Part of the ‘Simulationisms’- series that tests various forms of ‘Simulationisms’; the appropriation of a style or genre – and not of an existing work – in order to produce a new work in the same manner. Based on the oeuvre by Sophie Taeuber as an applied research into the nuances between art fraud and repetition.
