From a series of 20 photographic manipulations featuring triplets of food names inscribed on minimalist identical boxes, revealing and nullifying the non-value of the images proposed on the products’ boxes and ads.
In mass distribution, foods lose their natural virtue of nourishment, since the manifestation of their value is delegated to the packaging pictures echoing the sweetened imaginary proposed on television, turning food into status symbols, depriving it of its physical and spiritual essence of connection with Nature and Cosmos, becoming simulacra of food, or ‘food-symbols’ as defined by the artist.
