THE HORSE

THE HORSE

Year:
Media: Video installation
Dimensions: 250 x 300 cm (H x W x D)

The video shows a horse which runs on the spot on a treadmill and has to adapt to the changing rhythm of the treadmill. The video projection becomes a metapher: the animal falls irrevocably by the wayside and loses itself from time to time in the architecture. The work shows the conflict between animals and machins and depicts the antagonism of freedom and servitude as wll as the complex relationship between human beings and horses.
